Why does skin age?
When people reach the age of 40, the skin’s ability to produce and replace new skin cells slows down. There is a layer under the skin called Dermis. This layer is very thick, and when people age, this layer starts becoming thin. Skin loses its ability to retain moisture. The glands that help improve skin elasticity become inactive, and the skin will lose its flexibility.
